Default I'm impressed with Siam Orchid

We went out the other night to the Siam Orchid in the Spanish Plains Shopping Center.

The food is amazing, not too spicy, and definitely not bland. I loved it. And they take reservations.

The hospitality is wonderful. Owner Boon Rangsiyawaranon takes personal interest in the comfort and enjoyment of his guests.

Tony, I see Siam Orchid rates 12.5 from the Villages Gourmet Club. Since I'm not a fan of Thai Ruby in LSL, it's nice to know there's another option for Thai food in TV. George

I really enjoy this place also. I only wish they had a larger menu with more common Thai dishes.

My husband likes beef and peppers that is not on the menu but they gladly prepare it for him and it is great.

I love Thai Ruby in LSL. The amazing beef!!! mmmm great lunch menu. Like coconut curry dishes? Duck? Delicious. Ate at Siam once and it was good also, but had to go get my amazing beef shortly thereafter!

Jan,

5 days?

Now, I am impressed.

I think Ben Franklin said, "Fish and company stink after 3 days."

We ate there last night and were truly disappointed with the whole experience. >
The waiter who sat us at our table had salads with him that he served when he seated us.
The wait for our food was long they weren't even overly busy.
The food was bland,we both ordered jumbo shrimp with garlic red sauce and it had no taste of garlic or spice, and the veggies were sparse,I left very dissatisfied and won't be returning.

I'm with you ejp. I was underwhelmed by the food. Maybe Thai and I aren't a match.

I went to Siam Orchid last night with 15 others ladies - everyone liked it and wants to go back. Boon was wonderful to us - what a great personality. I recommend. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was perfect.
