Default Palmer country club NEVER AGAIN

Worst Easter dinner ever. Will never eat there again. Prime rib? 100 percent better at Cody's and cheaper. Vegetables undercooked, was supposed to get a free bottle of wine with dinner, never happened. Came home looking for something to eat.

I imagine that Palmer was pretty crowded on Easter for dinner. However, why didn't you express yourself to the server or to the manager about the quality of the prime rib, the doneness of the veggies, or the missing bottle of wine?

If you had done that, chances are that the problems would have been solved on the spot. If the bottle of wine was part of the dinner, definitely you should have asked the server right away.

By speaking up in a polite manner is how discrepancies are properly handled and management knows how to correct them so they do not happen again.

I've been disappointed so many times with the food that I'm reluctant to try again. It seems that Holidays are particularly bad at Palmer. I really, really want it to be better since I live close by and love the ambiance. Yes, I've mentioned my disappointment to management and they are apologetic but nothing changes.

We went for dinner a few evenings ago. The food wasn't bad... Just not what I expected.

When I go to a nice restaurant I want to taste crab in my crab cake. The lobster bisque was just OK.... not like any I ever had before. Maybe others like it. I didn't think it was that good.

I can't even remember what I ate as a main course. Meh....

Hubby had crab linguine and said it was "fair".

We were "dressed" and were seated in the bar with the TV's going. When I dress for dinner I don't want to be put in the bar. (the restaurant was not full) And.... no I didn't ask for a different seating.

Our service was good. No complaints there and as I said, the food wasn't bad. Just not up to what I would have liked for that type of restaurant.

I will try it again and order something else. Maybe it was just a bad night.

Default We Love Palmer

Everyone posting has the right to express their opinion or experience, but I often question the motivation.

We first experienced Palmer during our first LSV in 2007 when we enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner. Service, food, price were impeccable.

Since then, we return there often to impress friends or guests without regret. Count us as frequent Palmer diners.

Interesting about the burger and two beers; hubby and I each had a burger and a loaded Arnold Palmer and lunch was only $26. And change. Sure the right bill was received?

Wow, I thought that was the price for the beers..The burger was a blue cheese and I think it was 11 bucks so if the beer was 5 a piece and the tip, it could easily be 24...Next time I'll check,,That was the first time I went there and we had 68 in our group..That scallop salad really looked good..There is no hidden motive here, just asking the question...and commenting on the price.

Default Steak

We were there in Jan. Order "medium well" steaks. They came soo bloody they needed a "large bandage". Sent them back for more cooking. This time they needed a "smaller bandage" . The steaks were tough. We will try again, but not anytime soon!

Palmers is a little more expensive...actually quite a bit more than other clubs here in their prices. 68 in your group and Easter day makes it quite not a usual situation.

I only have gone there the one time we were given a freebie on our LSV. It was nice...I just forget it's there I guess.

And we had way too much good stuff to eat at our house on Easter Day...If I had known..........
