[QUOTE=LndLocked;1047453]Taco Hell bastardized it ... but they DO NOT invent the Gordita!!

Gordita - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sorry OP ... I do not know af a restaurant within 300 miles that serves an authentic Gordita. BUT, I can tell you that I have tried EVERY Mexican restaurant within TV proper and they are all OK to below average IMO.

Best Mexican in the area:

- Coyote Rojo in Bushnell (just off I-75 on CR48 (exit 314) ) simple straight up Tex Mex but will done and well seasoned (and I do not mean hot) ... it is the "well seasoned" part that is the failure of all of the TV places ... again IMO.

Taco Bell Gorditas for $2 quit tasty, just got dump lots of sauce on it. Haven't found any Mexican food here I like or worth second trip, but still looking.
