All along I thought the purveyor was Kindred Spirits. Interesting.

Totally agree in my case also. But here is what I've found out moving to Florida
"Referring to the carbonated soft drink as a Coke (even if it’s not a Coca-Cola) is common in the southern states, soda is the term for it on the northeastern coast and pop is the word in the midwest."

Here is a map showing soda, pop and coke usage.

The Pop vs. Soda Page

When I was a teen I sold soft drinks at football games at a nearby college. I hollered "Soda Pop"... Usually I referred to all soft drinks as "cokes" while growing up in NM.

Drink a shot of Smirnoff and drink a shot of premium vodka and tell me if you cant tell a difference

You may be more of an expert than the panel the NY Times assembled for their taste test, but I doubt it.

Why not go Low-Brow? Smirnoff beats Alexi any old day. Drive carefully on and off the course.

I am so glad I don't drink so I don't know the difference between "high end" and what? "Low end"? I don't damn people that do drink, unless they get drunk and do something stupid.

Although I rarely drink vodka on a trip to Russia I bought a fancy bottle of vodka. Twice I drank a couple ounces from it resulting in serious headaches so I poured it out but kept the bottle. So, there can be a difference IMHO.

We have Belvedere and gray goose At our house. Since I drink it straight I can tell you for fact there’s a big difference between a five dollar bottle of vodka and a $25 bottle of vodka. Although I will say I don’t find gray goose or belvedere that expensive. And we say soda.
