On a rainy day I watched a utube taste test on hot dogs. Nathan's came in either on top or close to it. They explained that natural casing hot dogs are always thinner because of the size of the casing. Larger hot dogs use a cellulose casing that the manufacturer removes once formed.

Being from Jersey, I prefer Nathan's and Sabrett. I actually think Home Depot has the best hot dogs here.
