Default No Whoppers in the Store

I went to Burger King on Wedgewood Drive off 466 to use a Buy one Get one Free Whopper and was told this at the Drive Thru: "I'm sorry but we don't have any Whoppers in the store." Couldn't believe my ears! And, when I got home I called every Burger King in and near TV to verify this and got "Mail Box Full". Unbelievable! Has anyone had this happen today?

Maybe the drive through attendant couldn't see that you had two hands and said they were out as an excuse to cover that they didn't want to sell you the Whoppers for your own good. After all, everybody knows... "It takes two hands to handle a Whopper!"

All kiddin' aside, it would be nice to know if this was happening at other locations. Could raise suspicion to it being a marketing tactic to draw in customers, then sell other products at normal prices! Not say it is, but the thought did come to mind!

It’s the coupons! They were mailed out en masse to The Villages. I rarely eat fast-food, but two for one Whopper Meals are hard to pass up! I went twice in the past month. Last time I was in there, the whole line had coupons in their hands (seriously). They didn’t run out of Whoppers, they just didn’t want to serve them anymore at that price. lol
