Yep, I guess it seems kind of odd to segregate a bill from your own work, to tip for just the food portion of your bill may become the new normal.

Hilarious! Are people bieng forced to go there at the point of a gun? If you're dumb enough to sit somewhere, voluntarily, where you are being "damaged", then you're being punished for your stupidity.

Yes this is not specifically about the subject restaurant but they do fall into the category of my comment. It has baffled me for years why restaurants here are so dang noisy...Coastal del Mar is the only one I would call quiet enough to carry on a conversation. We simply do not go to places we know are so loud you can't talk across the table. Very simple acoustics would easily solve the issue.

They are loud because the patrons are loud and many of them are hard of hearing. Noises from drinkers at the bar adds to the volume.

Default We loved it!

My husband and I went last night at 5:00 and got seated in a couple minutes. As first-timers, we had the tour of the taps and how the tap card works. Several bourbons/whiskeys/scotches (including an icemaker with the big ice cubes), several wines, lots of beers, a few sours, a few very low alcohol choices, and a few nonalcohol choices for the under 21s or nondrinkers. Various size glasses, including flights with chalk to write on the face of the flight holder what your choices are. Or you can order drinks from the bar and never go near the taps if you don't want to.

We split a smash burger, dry rub wings, and a side salad. It was almost too much food, but we gamely ate it all. It was all delicious. Definitely upscale bar food. There were also several good pizza offerings.

Happy Hour runs from 2:00-6:00. Wow! We expect that to change in the future. Tap drinks and some select food offerings were 25% off.

I'd forgotten about the noise complaints. We had no issue with the noise and were able to carry on our conversation, plus hear our server. However, neither of us wears hearing aids. The servers are still learning along with the customers, including how the rewards app works, but we muddled through.

By the time we finished at 6:00, there was a short wait line. At 5:00, it was pretty much us olds in there. By 6:00, it was turning to a younger crowd.

The outside bar area has some tables with fire features, I'll call it, those clear stones/marbles that can be turned on for a fire. Those will be nice come winter.

We were really pleased to have something different than the same old, same old in The Villages. Our opinion is that we'll be very surprised if this place doesn't make it.
