Default St Louis style pizza?

we are looking for StLouis style pizzia,,,, super thin crust,, lots of spicey sausage,,, mushroom, green peppers and onions,,,, not any of this ranch chicken pizzia or veggie delight stuff,,, it gotta be greasy that crawls out of the box,,,, StLouis has IMOS provolone cheese,, but that is way to much to ask,,, just thin and spicey,,,, is good enough,,,

Most of us could tone it down a bit. Most of us. That is what my grandmother said.

Most of us.

St Louis style pizza usually means Imo's which uses provell cheese which is only found in the St Louis area - really tasty stuff. However, I still prefer DiCarlos pizza from Steubenville, Ohio. Depends on what you grew up eating. Happy New Year.

I have had St Louis pizza most of my life before my job and travels took me away. I have family all over Mo and I am from Iowa. I find St Louis Pizza to be similar to domino's thin crust and its just not for me. No offence intended. I also do not like Chicago deep dish Pizza, but for me St Louis style is the worst. Sorry, just my opinion. I will put my vote for the best Pizza as New York Thin crust Italian Sausage and Black Olives.

I suppose that, as a St. Louisian of more than 40 years I should vigorously defend the so-called St. Louis- style pizza.

Fact is, my late wife and I almost never ate out anywhere - we were admittedly very cheap people - and any pizza we may have eaten was undoubtedly a personally doctored pie bought at Schnuck's Supermarket!

I'm finding it lots more fun here in TV!

I don't know if I'd call Carrabba's pizza New York style but it was thin crust with crumbled Italian sausage and Kalamata olives. It was delicious and may come very close to the pizza you described with Italian sausage and black olives. Elsewhere someone commented about things being better up North. We've been back to Pi's on the Square in Ocala with the family last week, and their pizza was as good as you're going to find anywhere. Giada de Laurentiis couldn't do it any better!
