We had supper there 2 nights ago, chicken/ribs weren't bad, but we were not crazy about the sides. You need to have some of my homemade mac and cheese if you think theirs was good, lol.

Default Where is the Speckled butterbean?

We aren't sure where Wildwood is but I think it is on the West side near 466A. Can you help?

Salybow, Yes, Wildwood is west of TV and....We think going through Wildwood is the easiest way to get to the southern part of TV AND your new home. It is one exit farther south off I75 than the one you've been using I would wager a guess. Many people use the Wildwood exit to get to 466A. (Then straight north on Buena Vista, left on St.Charles)

Now that you have returned to Cincinnati, it is time to come to our house for lunch. You too Boomer. P.M. me girls. How about GIGene and Kathy too? Hawkwind? Anyone who lives near Cincinnati, give me a shout.

OH NO. I just remembered we are supposed to stay on the subject. Tony JUST started a "sticky" thread on that subject....AND this subject is The Speckled ButterBean, a restaurant in Wildwood and about going to Ted and Robin's house for some homemade Macaroni and Cheese.

Of course, once Buena Vista Blvd. is completed between 466A and 44, this restaurant will be right at the southernmost entrance to TV.

For breakfast cheaper than $6.95 try I-HOP or McDonald's.

We had dinner at the Speckled Butterbean last night. The restaurant is buffet style, and we were disappointed because the quality and taste of the food was "so-so" (not comparable to Golden Corral, at all), but worse than that, all the buffet items were cold. So, we've put the Speckled Bean on our "do not go back" list.

We have eaten at the speckled butterbean on a number of occassions, both in Wildwood & Bushnell. All around the wildwood location is okay... they seem to have busser/cleanliness issues everytime I have been there(assuming it's the time of the evening we go??).T he food has never really measured up to the food served in Bushnell, which has always been DYNAMITE. The fried chicken at the "little restaurant" is the best I've ever had
Peace and love

We went to Butterbean in Wildwood a few weeks ago, and were disappointed. It would have been so nice to find a place in the area that served good, hot home-cooked southern style food. Too bad! Just can't find a way to get out of the kitchen.

What did management say when you told them the buffet items were cold?

We went to the Speckled Butterbean last Friday expecting their advertised "seafood buffet". There was fried catfish, and broiled fish. That was the extent of the seafood buffet. Chicken was the only other protein available. They had 6 kinds of beans, and a few other sides. Some of the items were cold. The best thing about this place is the deserts. We will not be returning.
