Default Missing Sweet Tomatoes

All of the Sweet Tomatoes locations in the Chicago area closed last year . . . there was was about 4 miles from my house that I loved. I will have to visit the one in TV when I visit in September. Glad to know the TV location is still open.

The one in Crossroads Shopping Center in front of Best Buy is always busy. When we started going there about six years ago it was $20 for 2 people for lunch with drinks. Last time it's now $25 with drinks but we signed up on their website and they email coupons at least once a week. Generally $8.99 for lunch including drink. The soft ice cream machine is always a big hit.

My favorite meal was last night at Carrabba's I had the 6oz sirloin and garlic mashed potatoes for $14.99 and it was the most tender steak I've ever eaten, and the potatoes were very good.

After eating the steak @ Carrabba's were you very thirsty late in the night or early morning--the amount of msg they use to tenderize their meats dries out my mouth-& they're not the only restaurant that does this

I figured that, Lone Star, Outback, Chilis, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, I think they're all the same with meat tenderizer but I don't eat steak often. That was probably the first steak I had in a year, so I'll take my chances.

Monosodium glutamate - Wikipedia

We people who can't afford the loan to eat prime cuts, we slowly cook meat with a tight cover at low heat to make it tender and juicy and succulent and add things like rosemary and thyme and garlic. Or soak it first for a time in vinegar and oil or citrus to break down the fiber.

Can't argue with the suggestions here and certainly want to try some of them. I'd add Beef O'Brady's Grilled Veggie Bowl (choice of rice or quinoa) to the list. If you chose the quinoa version you not only enjoy a tasty meal, but also one that is nutritious, protein rich, high in fiber, etc. - in other words, good for you (but don't let that stop you!).

The Apple-stuff Pork Loin at Little Bits on Friday nights is awesome.
Oakwood has amazing fish - usually blackened grouper or snapper - in addition to Barbecue.
Oh, and in case the wife reads this - I love quinoa. Yes, I really do! :-)

Where do you get veal chops around here? A friend of mine owns an Italian restaurant up north and used to make veal chops with vinegar peppers. A side of spaghetti with marinara sauce and it was my favorite meal.

Converts are always welcome! Agree 100% but toast the bread. OMG!
