Texas roadhouse is hit or miss. It really depends on the cooks. Some do not know or care about how to cook a steak to order.

Fun place eating peanuts throwing shells on floor and good food, even great, for the money.
Stop expecting $30 plus steaks for $12. In Columbus Indiana it was our restaurant of choice with the kids. Service is good. On . On the one occasion it wasn't when we told the manager on his table rounds, he checked it out, brought a fresh meal, and comped the total bill

That's it i can't take it anymore. If I can get my wife to stop packing for a couple of hours I'm gonna give this joint a shot tonight in NJ. I'll report my findings tomorrow. Hope there are no whip marks on the steak.

Steak was good. Vegetables, mushy green beans with no flavor, broccoli was steamed ok.
Too noisy if you want conversation. Don't go past 3:15 for early seating, by the time your order is taken it will be past 4:00 and all bets are off.....

Default Burgers at Texas Roadhouse

We tried Texas Roadhouse for the first time today. It was noon, and the parking lot appeared full. So we were pleasantly surprised when they took us directly to a table. The place is huge! The fried pickle appetizer was delicious. The warm dinner rolls and cinnamon butter were a nice touch. The real surprise was the burgers. We've had great burgers before at Square One, Glenview, and Havana CC, and even the Shell Blue Plate Deli (or whatever it's called these days). The Texas RH Angus burgers were 8 oz, cooked as ordered and juicy, and better than the others. My wife and I each cut our burger in half and took the other half home. Never did that before. Just ate the other half of my burger tonight for dinner. I know Texas RH is known for their steaks, but we'd go back again for their burgers in a heartbeat. They play country music loud, which makes normal conversation difficult but otherwise it was a fun lunch experience. We both had raspberry lemonade, very good but the Goose Island IPA on tap was very tempting.

We also had a very fine meal and enjoyed the restaurant. A good addition to the choices available.

Had dinner tonight at our new Texas Roadhouse. Stephanie, our server, and all the other folks were warm, friendly and fun. The food was great and made our evening even more fun. We loved the TR in Clermont, but having our own here near The Villages, is even nicer.

We have always preferred Outback for the atmosphere. It is nice to go out and have a quiet, attractive place in which to dine and the steaks have always been good.

We had dined at TRH in Utah before moving here and I wasn't impressed. Loud, gimmicky western theme, etc. But we went yesterday, here in Lady Lake and had the BEST steaks we have ever had! Better than Ruth's Chris and Mortons! Excellent beef!

I still am not wild about the atmosphere. I would rather be able to hear my dinner companions and a few less "Yahoo"s out there. But we will certainly go back for the great steaks.

We were seated at 4:57 after a 10 minute wait. Our server made a point to offer us the early bird menu, even though it was almost 5:00. Good service and everything we had was excellent. We will be back!!

That's great to hear , Dottie ! I'm headed there this week and it's always nice to hear good things about a restaurant you plan to visit !
