Really, did you just say that? How crude and insensitive. Because you don't care for a place, you wish them to go out of business. I wish I could type what I would like to happen to people like you

They should hope for it to go out of business if it’s dirty and been closed down more than once.

I’m sure they are a corporation so now is a great time to get rid of all their creditors who in reality won’t get any empathy or sympathy. I never was a big fan of their food either and never figured the location they chose at Brownwood. The first of several restaurants that will likely do the same not only here but elsewhere.

We've have more bad than good experiences at Cody's. We stopped going over a year ago. They are dirty and have been shut down more than once. Sad because 4 to 5 years ago when we had family and a home in Ocala we loved Cody's on SR 200.

This is just the beginning. Only 25% of businesses that file chapter 11, as they have, survive. There are consequences to shutting down a 20 trillion dollar economy.

I asked a restaurant owner if The Villages is giving them a break on their lease and the answer is NO!

Amen.. Man people support your ma & pop's or all you will have is McDonalds & Evans.. Do you know how hard it is to run a small
business?.. It's not all about you getting a deal.. It's about the hospitality & passion of these owners to do what they love well.. stay in business for you.. AND THEY GOTTA MAKE MONEY!! yikes people..

Too bad they didn’t get any of the money for small businesses. Nearly all given to major corporations. Another failure.

Unfortunately, with the shutdown, the dominos are beginning to drop.

Cody's going to BK wouldn't surprise me at all! Who knows, it could be coming for them too! Live close to one and the cars in the parking lot have been minimal for quite some time, way before COVID-19!

From the SunSentinel re: TooJay's

Companies typically file for Chapter 11 when they plan to remain in operation but need time to restructure their debts. The filing enables companies to remain in operation while they work through the courts to develop long-term plans that satisfy their creditors.
