Very disappointing. I love TooJays. I understand that the pandemic has effected many businesses especially within the restaurants. But, with the building of apartments in Spanish Springs I fear what might end up at TooJays site there.

Agreed. We will have a BCV (before CV) and an ACV (after CV) society in the US. International affairs expert, Richard Haas put it this way, " CV won't change history, but it WILL accelerate history".

According to today's Orlando Sentinel, TooJays is under new ownership and has emerged from bankruptcy. They had 30 stores and closed 9. The stores at Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood are still open.

Default TooJays

not "the real thing". Prices nominal, but no where near quality of NY / NJ kosher style restaurants.

Back in the kitchen it is zapped. Buh Bye. No Loss.

Make it a New Dill and I'm in!

Absolutely correct. Many folks on on TOTV disparage and don't patronize the local restaurants. What did they expect to happen? As to the apartment plan, I look at that as a positive. Anyone who has been to Europe knows that their town centers are mixed with both residential and business. It will take a little time but the addition of residents to the town center will add a vibrancy to SS that is currently missing. Things will improve because this virus will not last forever no matter what the MSM says.

What's a Spartan doing in ScUM territory? But I agree about Zingerman's being a decent substitute for Katz's Deli.

Wrong. Sliced cheap meat is not better than higher quality sliced meat. WAWA uses basic lunch meat.

Until someone posts an actual lease with TV, I mark this down as an urban legend.

Just tried NY water bagels and thought they were rather good. Good lox to be had at Sams.

Looking for a good reasonable priced Gabilla knish. Too expensive at Publix. Publix does have good bialys though.

I guess starting that diet when I did was a bad thing for these businesses.

Most of all I feel sorry for the workers trying to provide for their families.

The Restaurant Business is a rough way to make a living around these parts. Water, no tip, small tip. Keep it up and we'll be traveling to eat at a decent restaurant or eating fast food on 441.

I hope the owners rebound somewhere else.
