my second inquiry here relating to Toscanis....does anyone know whereToscanis, formerly of Mulberry Plaza, relocated in Wildwood under a different name? The best subs pizza specialty sausage and other Italian. THX

And you will get the same answers that you received previously ... but apparently not the ones you want.

They did not relocate to Wildwood or anywhere else in the State of Florida. They were closed and sealed shut by the Fla Dept of Revenue for failure to remit sales tax. That means that they collected the Marion Co sales tax rate of 6% and did not send it to the Fla DOR. As such, the owners of Toscani's will be unable to get any type of business license in the State of Florida.


The sealing process by DOR takes a fairly considerable amount of time with multiple contacts and attempts at counseling and collection by DOR. Sealing and bringing suit (they will / have filed a tax fraud case with the State Atty) is something the DOR actually does not like to do, as it actually lowers the chance of collecting.
