Trader Joe's seems to attract a faithful following and I'm one. They have a good selection of eclectic "Trader Joe's" branded food that I've generally found to be excellent and, as the previously noted, they have a nice and inexpensive wine selection which also includes Two Buck Chuck, ( actually $2.99 in this area). It's difficult to find a place to purchase a case of wine for less $36. Fortunately, there is a Whole Foods Market in the same area.

In Silver Spring, Maryland, I had a Trader Joe's about 10 minutes from the house. I got a real liking to Trader Joe's Triple Shot iced coffee in a 12 oz. can. It was great on a hot summer morning while reading the newspaper (Washington Post, of course) on the back deck and watching the birds and squirrels on the deck railing eating the seeds and peanuts I put there.

However, here in The Villages, I think it is great to sit in my Florida room with sliding glass windows, drinking my coffee, reading The Daily Sun, and watching the white ibis on the golf course. The Villages wins!!!

PTurner lives in Atlanta. You can all give her two dollars each and she can do a booze run from Trader Joes. I have lots of Advil and I will be happy to help after you all get the headache from drinkin' that two buck chuck. I don't drink anymore. I never could get the hang of it.

P.S. I hear that PTurner expects to make a little on this. Maybe ten dollars a bottle?

Fresh Market is closer to Whole Foods in terms of style than it is Trader Joe's.

People love Trader Joes for the 10% you can't find in a regular supermarket...

I love Trader Joe's! We don't have any here in the West Lafayette area. There is one on the north side of Indianapolis but I haven't been to that one. It is about 65 miles from us. I have gone to the one in Cincinnati that was mentioned previously. It is within walking distance of my son's home and he goes there quite a bit. I really like the variety of coffees! The atmosphere is kind of nice, too. The store is nice and cozy and the workers are very friendly...like they actually enjoy being at work!
That makes 3 of us thinking two buck chuck was hamburger!!!!
