Not a great loss. Maybe a more healthful place will replace it. IMHO, there is much too much alcohol consumed here. Toxic!

I like beer, but I never understood why a restaurant needs a hundred different brands of beer. Or wine either.

Well, shows last time I was at SS. I actually never ate at SS WOB

I haven’t been to the one in Brownwood in 3 years.

I'm going to guess you didn't get to the end of the report you cited. It clearly says they are not going out of business. Bankruptcy is a legal maneuver to restructure or eliminate debt while attempting to find a more successful path forward.

I'm with rg123 here give me any really cold, weak, light beer and I'm happy. Throw in a Paulaner hefeweizen occasionally and I'm all set.

Thanks for the education on bankruptcy. But bankruptcy involves a re structuring plan - and if you’ve ever been to the WOB in Brownwood, you would see it is not a well performing location.
It will get re-structured out of existence. They’ve been in Brownwood for at least 4 years, they might have had a 5/6 year lease -so writing it off will help the restructure.

As a former home brewer, I enjoy a variety of styles of beer. Even within a style, different brewers have permutations of that style. WOB offered a nice selection of beers that changed over time.

Wines are also offer a wide variety of tastes, aromas, etc. Being able to pick up on the different flavors, aromas, and mouth feel of different alcoholic beverages is something I have come to enjoy as I have gotten older.

LOTS of variety in beer. Comes down to taste though: "Good" and "Bad" are pretty subjective.

We were guests at the home of a British couple a few years back. Host asked me if I'd like some real British beer. Of course I said yes. He gave me a bottle of "Tetley's". Pretty different from what we Americans think of as beer; not something I'd order if there were other choices out there. But then again, there are probably some Brits who view American beer the same way I do Tetley's.

I've been going to WoB Brownwood since I first arrived in 2018. I don't go there as often lately - it's been hard to find a seat.

I hope it survives. WoB has the best (only?) rotating selection of craft beer available by golf cart.
