Default Social security "representative" no response. Deadline in 2 days

Hello all.

My ss representative sent a task list end of Sept for me to comply with.

I sent 2 of 4 documents priority mail 10 days ago.

One document request still a non response from the state I requested.

4th document is not something I as an ex wife can request. My ex husbands birth certificate. Still working on that.

I was informed that I had to send all these docs by Oct 22nd.

I immediately emailed my ss "representative " Sept 23 to inform her that I could not request my ex husbands birth certificate and please advise. She never responded.

I received paper mail that I had only 4 weeks to comply with the documents requested or denied my social security.

I priority mailed 2 of the docs to her. She never confirmed that she got them.

NO response from "my ss representative" in any of my concerns. I have two days to comply. Any advice please? Her only email to me was end of Sept requesting these docs. Shes never responded to any of my replies back about docs I priority sent or docs I can not request.

Thanks all...

Go to the Social Security office in Leesburg to discuss your case in person.

Thank you! I did try to call them about 6 months ago on how to go about doing all this. Many recorded messages and not sure how to get to any appointment line. Its very automated now. And SS website has no way for me to connect with anyone even when im in my SS personal account.

Thanks again!

It won't be an immediate answer, but these guys are good at answering SS questions. Ask your question in detail on their website. https://www.theretirementandirashow.com/

Default Birth certificate not needed

You got a trainee. Go into your local Social Security office. Ask why they need to see his birth certificate. Most claims are processed without needing birth certificates.

If you can’t reach out in your social security online account go to the physical office, with or without an appointment. You will find a live body there.

I agree. Go to the Leesburg office, preferably right when they open (or even a little before) so that you won't have such a long wait. Bring all your documents with you, everything you need (and sent to your "representative") and anything you think you might need.

OP, I hope you will take the advice of 6 posters so far and go to the Leesburg SS office. Trying to handle this on the phone will get you nowhere.

Your government at work, higher taxes would resolve your problem. The government could hire more useless lazy people.

Easy peasy. They're right on 27, on the corner just past Wolfy's diner.

As a last resort, contact your Congress rep or Senator for help. Sometimes that means taking a good book and your lunch and parking in their office.
