Default No entertainment at squares again

It seems so weird not to see activity at the squares again. Isn't it the second or third time this has happened this year? Does anyone remember how many cold evenings we had last year that warranted no entertainment? It seems colder this year or maybe I just didn't pay much attention last year. Just thoughts.

I'm with you as far as not remembering it being this cold for this long in the past few years. I don't do the squares so I don't know how often entertainment has been canceled. But I do know that it seems I am covering my plants to protect against frost more often than ever before! It might be a bit disconcerting for now but I know it will pass...and it is not as disconcerting as the 15 inches of snow and its aftermath that my NJ friends are enduring!

I was at Spanish springs ,than to lake sumpter and no music. Both places were crowded and no bands were set up. I think if it is going to be below a certain temp, music is canceled.

Exactly right about the temperatures. Now, remember, it is Lake SUMTER!

Last night at Lake SUMTER Landing was great with Rocky and the Rollers. It was kind of chilly but the place was full and people were having a great time.

The entertainment at all 3 squares tonight just did not look like anyone would miss anything special if it was cancelled.

The magic temperature is 47 degrees. Anything below that, entertainment department cancels activities.

A few years back we had such a cold winter. It was the 4th coldest since they have been keeping track of the weather. I believe it was 9 1/2 nights almost straight with no entertainment at the squares.

"Polar Vortex that we are having..whatever that means" Could be just Low pressure system that works it way south every so often... O I forgot the climate change powers to be had to come up with catchy name..Like POLAR VOTEX. Like we didn't have them before which was called Low Pressure Systems. So I guess Hotter than usually Summer would be called Equator Votex?

"sounds like more Global Warming to me" Yes so they claim? That's why the climate change Study Boat got caught stuck in the ice at the edge south pole in the summer down there. I know the ice comes and goes "Like it's been doing for millions of years.

Funny thing about climate change.. IMO there's only two ways it can go Warmer or colder. But some say we are still in last Ice cycle of the Pleistocene epoch?

My dream is to never hear the term "global warming" again and all the arguing about it.

Well Florida's 40 is a lot warmer feeling than Seattle's 40.
