Default Has TOTV Stopped Being Fun?

I have notices several instances of great people who have left TOTV, because they were attacked and were being picked-on. Therefore, it has stopped being fun, for some people.

Where are the happy posters, who like to share their jokes and humor?

What's the funniest thing, you have seen on TOTV?

We all know this is a great site for getting together and sharing ideas, that will save you time and money. The admin's do a great job, but why do some posters feel a need to put others down? One reason maybe, is they feel by putting someone else down, they become elevated in their own eyes.

What benefit does one derive, by hurting others feeling?

Isn't GOD's second greatest commandment, "to love one another as I have loved you". We should all be here, to help one another.

Off soapbox...... flame away.... as I was just sayin.......

Joe,
I see your heart to restore those who hurt. Hurt is not easy to admit. I spent 20 years in bitterness because I felt betrayed, well ok I was actually betrayed. So cutting to the chase. If there is a seed of bitterness, you could spend the rest of your life growing it up. Can't recommend that.
Heaven help us not grow bitter fruit,
Kitty, recovering from bitterness...

"Has TOTV Stopped Being Fun?" NO!

One just has to have an open mind and heart and don't let the few that try to aggravate.....get to you. They are so easy to ignore.

And I will be if I would give them the benefit of taking one iota of what they say with ANY credibilty.

The best thing to do is just ignore them and enjoy the other 99% who share what we all do!!

I've noticed this lately also Joe. Despite all the posters who post for information, want to share a story or joke, or seek advice there is always those who choose to attack others from a keyboard. Some don't care how they treat others.

Not for me. It's still fun and I have met many new people that I like to call friends through here. If everyone agreed every minute on everything, then it would cease to be fun. You don't have to agree with me nor I with you. I do respect that you have your own opinions and that is a good thing. It allows us all to look at both sides of the board at hand and the edges, too.

If someone wants to vent on me or put me down, go for it. As my husband has always said, "Give it your best shot, honey, 'cuz you're throwing spit balls at a battleship". Until someone else puts their feet in my shoes, they have no idea how they fit or what they are talking about as to how they feel on mine. Besides, going after me, they are leaving someone else alone if that's what they enjoy.

A little levity here:

"To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target."

"The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."

TOTV hasn't stopped being fun. There are still lots of contributors that are fun. Just some people have stopped enjoying themselves and one another and that's too bad. My father told me years ago..."cry and you cry alone...laugh and the world laughs with you."
Life is like a box of chocolates...

Dynamics on any and every message board online are always changing, people come, people go, people come back. Miss those who are away, but don't forget to enjoy the company you are presently with.
