Like myself, Yorio is not as active on TOTV as he once was. I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with him. A good man. Today there is an article about his experiences as a child in Tokyo during WW II. Interesting reading.

War is indeed HELL.

Thank God we can live long enough to see peace once again, but we can never erase the awfulness.

It is a humbling experience for me when I begin to discover how profound another's journey has been.

Thanks for mentioning the article, Tom.

I am glad Yorio is here and has shared a small part of his story.

My wife and I had the priveledge of being seated with Yorio and his wife for dinner meals while on a cruise last year. The were a very nice couple and we had some wonderful conversations. He never mentioned anything about his experiences in Japan and it didn't even dawn on us that he was even old enough to have been around at that time.

I feel the same way. He had us over his house for some munchies one night and attended a surprise birthday party for me last year and he never mentioned anything about the horror he experienced. I agree about his age. I never expected Yori to be 10 years my senior. And his lovely wife (I call Telicko) is also a wonderful person. A great couple. I feel honored to have met them when l asked for directions after getting lost shortly after I moved to TV.
