Default Tri County Landscape?

I used to love Tri County and then they changed everything. I'm not getting much response from them nor am I getting any weeding or mulching done. I'm waiting for a call back and thought I'd check in with my hundreds of buddies here. Any Tri County clients (past or present) input?

I paid a lot for pine straw delivery. Not realizing they had left out half the area at the back of the house, I paid them. silly me not to inspect the work.

I was talking to one of the TCL (Tri-County) sales reps recently and he said they were no longer weeding, fertilizing or using insecticides but may start doing those things again in the future. He said they had just hired someone who had the necessary license to use insecticides so that was probably good to go but not sure about the other work.

He also mentioned they were trying to expand throughout the entire state of Florida. Apparently, they were making good headway. Not sure what that ultimately means for the fine job they've been doing in TV.

A few months ago my lawn was turning red and white. I called tri county landscape and saying that I wanted them to fertilize my lawn. There weeks later, they showed up. Over time, their work became more and more sloppy so I fired them. Three days later, I noticed that they had broken off a handle to my spa filtering equipment and had run over a sprinkler head. Someone from TCL hid the broken handle behind the spa equipment so it wouldn't be noticed. The sound of water gushing up about 20 feet in the air and then falling back to the ground woke up my neighbor at 5:00 A.M. I signed on with Dean's and am happy that I did.

Default 2 different businesses

There are two different Tri-county Landscape businesses. The one that works for the Villages and does OUTSTANDING work is Tri-County Landscape Contractors.

Scott is the owner. They have done work for us previously and are currently redoing our landscape.

The other Tri-county landscape business has had claims filed against it with Seniors vs. Crime.

Received a letter from Tri County Landscapes (TCL) that they are no longer servicing properties south of 466A and that my account was being turned over to "Village Lawn & Home". Anyone know anything about Village Lawn and Home? Called them and they said I would be receiving a "Welcome Letter" in about a week.

Just did both of our homes. I have used them since 2008 and appreciate the great service Scott gives us!

I fired Tri-County last week. Scott never returned my phone calls and the workers ( different crew than the originals) do what they want to do, or as little as they can get away with. They were warned about cutting my lawn too short, warned about not weeding and warned about starting their lawnmowers and blowers before 8am.
If you look back over my history on TOTV you will see I was a big supporter of TCL and recommended them highly. Being a snowbird, I need to have confidence that my property looks as good as it can look since I am not there in the summertime to monitor anything. A shame how they policies have changed. I am trying out a new landscaper next week.
