There are a few around that serve conch fritters, but I don't know of any that serve conch chowder. I haven't seen conch chowder since we moved from the Ft. Lauderdale area.

R.J. Gator's at Lake Sumter Landing has conch chowder. It is spicy and has nice pieces of Bahamian conch in it.

R.J. Gator's is a great place to stop in for a drink and lunch after a round of golf.

I have a reciept for Conch Chowder, but have been unable to buy Conch for years so I substitute clams and scallops. I use to love the Conch Chowder at The Banana Boat in Boynton Beach where I moved here from.

Here's mine:
3/4 lbs scallops..... 2 6 1/2 ounce cans minced clams with liquid......1 8 ounce bottle clam juice......1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes, plus two cans of water.......3 carrots , chopped.......2 stalks celery, chopped.....2 large onions, chopped....2 large potatoes cut into cubes....2 cloves garlic, crushed....2 tablespoons dried parsley.....1 tablespoon , dried basil............Put everything into a large pot. Bring to as boil, reduce heat and cover. Simmer about 45 minutes until vegetables are tender .....Makes about 4 quarts. I sometimes cut reciept in half as it is a lot of chowder.
When I serve it I add tobasco to my liking.
