BTW, are you familiar with the 15 common acronyms that your grandchildren use? Here they are ICYMI in the newspaper. IMHO, it's probably TMI. But here it is: OMG, LOL, SMH, I just wanted to see if I could use them all in a short post. IDK if I'll be able to pull it off, but I'm willing to try. TYVM for taking the time to read this. Thanks----it's the new "shorthand" the kids are using. They quit teaching real shorthand and also real writing in school. It's a new world and it's changing everyday!

I remember asking my parents what snafu and sol stood for. They said that both were military acronyms.......snafu is "situation normal....all f-----d up",
sol is "s--- out of luck". Those have been around at least since WWII.
