Default House insurance

Just an FYI for anyone interested I just changed insurance companies same coverage and an A rated company and dropped 450 dollars a year. It would appear that agents keep you up on a higher rate for their commissions. Not a good way to do business

If I dropped $450, I would only be paying $300 a year. What is the name of this company?

I shopped around and got a policy from "Ark Royal" through Darr Schackow Insurance (Leesburg) for several hundred dollars less.

I think it pays to shop around and get quotes from a different agent.

From my experience in South Florida that seems to be the pattern with St John's.

Most honest agents will tell you to change companies every 2 to 3 years

I bet they do.

Especially since most get a 50% Commission on the Premium
for the first year when they write that NEW Policy when you change Carriers..

The Small ( 6% or so ) "Residuals" they receive on "Renewals" do not help
so much with the Mortgage on the Beach House or that
32 foot Carver boat.

Some of the HONEST ones will give you a so-called LOWER Price
by using part of their 50%
Commission to lower your premium the First year
to help you decide to Switch Carriers.

My MOMMA done told me

FIGURES don't LIE.
But LIARS can FIGURE.

These insurance companies must be stupid, it is a wonder they are still able to stay in business when they give 50% of the premium as commissions
