I have said it before but that never stops me from saying it again. I love what you've done with American Gothic and I hope you are putting this on your Christmas cards or having notecards printed with it. It's too good not to go lots of places.

I have to admit something though. Whenever I see this painting, I always hear in my head that old cereal commercial where these two sing, "Please buy our cornflakes. New country cornflakes. They don't wilt when you pour on milk." -- or some such version thereof. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Wait! Wait! It just occurred to me to Google this thing. And here it is. For real. It really did happen!! My faith in my own sanity has once again been restored by youtube.

Why oh why do I remember this stuff? :dontknow:

Boomer...Oh yes, will make full use of the print. I even had two T-shirts made up of the pic of us. Used the same vendor as the TOTV shirts for sale. We've recd many compliments on our American Gothic shirts, as well as chuckles.

The link selling cornflakes is hilarious; thx so much for sharing. You sure have a sparkling personality and gift of expression. Always enjoy your writings; you always put such a human twist on the words that I can imagine I hear your voice. Am I wierd, or what??? Hugs, barb

Redwitch celebrated her 57th birthday today with the help of some new friends on Talk of The Villages. Great fun. We should plan more. Meeting Tuesday was at Starbucks on route 466 near WalMart. Redwitch was presented with birthday cake and best wishes.
