Wow!!! In a neighborly energy independence discussion last night a question was raised.
"What are your thoughts about the possibility that the cycle we are in right now, housing, oil, new President still trying to find the men's room, Iran, etc, etc,....that the right here and now....as bad as we think it may be.....is the BEST it is going to be over the next 12-18 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" As long as the "545" continues to do nothing (and why would they change after all these centuries).....it may well be a reasonable assumption. BTK |

well, billie, since you posted your note this morning the stock market has fallen over 300 points...so maybe we had better start adapting an attitude of gratitude for all the blessings we have been given, conserve our resources, both natural and spiritual, for a time of great change....and i don't mean that promised by obama! i mean the paradigm shift . many fear that because the mayan calendar ends at 2012 that it will be the end of the world, but others feel it is an important time of adjustment, like going through the skinny part of the hour glass. where will our treasures be?

We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. If we can survive the final days of King George, our country and the world will be a better place.

sorry, jungle jim, but i do not think a new president, no matter which one, is going to have the power to magically fix all our problems. we are a small part of a big world. millions of other people in other places want what we have enjoyed for years: cars, conveniences, travel, food, fashion, housing, mass communication, etc... the economy needs a period of adjustment....

It could be better if we listen to what Newt has to say.

And please quite putting 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentence. One had nothing to do with the other. |

The second - I respectfully disagree, and that debate may take a 6-pack or two. |

As I continue to view this forum, I have developed a sense there are participants that can not address or speak to an issue without a pre conditioned partisan toss of the glove.
Using that doctrine of communicating, I would have to give due consideration to the following to be a viable "today" participant......well I bet it would be different if it weren't for being a white, Anglo Saxon, catholic, blind in one eye, wheel chair confined bigot..... I do enjoy those that can address an issue on it's merits or lack thereof VS to political polarizing pre conditioning......Yes I acknowledge all are entitled......but when all gets said and done...and more is said than done, eh.....we are all Americans living in the greatest country on the planet, which got there through dedicated devotion to the USA...from the pledge of allegiance.......one nation under GOD, INDIVISBLE.......INDIVISIBLE!!!!!!!!!! btk |
