??? Seen surveyors working down by the old buffalo field near Sumter Landing, anyone know what is going on?

I saw them also and stopped and asked one of them what the project was....his reply was it was a rush survey project and that the area will be turned into homes and villas. Go figure. Guess I always assumed it would become commercial.

Karl,

no real surprise...if it's not marked on the map/plat as preserve, then it most certainly will be developed in some way or another. This area was "white space" on the map.

If you look at the area where the wetlands restoration is being done on south side of 466 just east of Morse....on the map, that is in orange (which usually signifies commercial space) with a couple of roads leading in and out of it. The area abutting 466 there has been graded pretty flat....I wouldn't be surprised to see commercial or lodging space put there.

Gosh, If they don't scrape that area bare, just think how great the trees and bushes will grow, with all of that buffalo...uh...droppings that are now soil.
