If you bought a pre-owned home, you probably looked at a lot of them.
While there are usually many reasons to buy the one we buy, was there a specific factor in tipping your decision to the one you ended up buying? What was it that made your pre-owned stand out for you? I'll start -- walked in the front door of that bright, well-kept Gardenia and looked straight out the back to that wonderful wall behind it. For us, the pre-owned met our needs for location and option to expand outdoor living space (on a curve with pie-shaped backyard). The house was only 6 yrs old, but the interior felt very dated and was almost a deal breaker. However, the interior has been updated/remodeled and we are happy with our decision.

In our case the house was on a cul-de-sac at the circle, so the pie shaped back yard was large. Also, it backed up on the street so there was no neighbor near our lanai, nor were the houses on either side close enough to intrude on privacy. The key word would be PRIVACY.

The courtyard was the major reason.....three tiered fountain in center with
mother-in-law suite off the courtyard...my husband said "we will take it" before we even walked in the house which had built-ins, plantation shutters and fireplace but the major reason was the Village and neighbors. |

Open floor plan with golf course view and proximity to squares and everyday errands doable by golf cart.

We saw a corner courtyard villa with an ugly color scheme inside and a huge backyard. We had a vision of beautiful Florida colors, whitewashed look floors, and sliders opening out to our own pool. That was our dream three years ago. We finally finished it in December. Privacy for us and our little dog as well as for relaxing in our own pool anytime we want with our beautiful colors and whitewashed look floors. We Love It.

Golf-course view and located in the mid-Villages, close to everything. Location, location, location.

Corner lot the Model that I wanted and no one behind us just the road and a pond so no one to contend with our conversations on the patio.

Bought our Lantana because of the great location, golf course fairway in back, all the built-ins already there, very negotiable price, and bond paid.
5 years now and still love everything about the home and The Villages. We have made great friends and met some of the wonderful people who post on TOTV. ![]() |

We chose our Seabreeze cottage because of the open floorplan it has and also because at 1,550 sq.ft., it's about 1,200 sq. ft. smaller than our KC home. We chose the location where it's at because of the golf course's behind our home (we did not want to back up to anyone). Our own little piece of paradise.
