Default Ticket prices at The Sharon

My daughter this past week attended an Amy Grant concert at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown,Ohio. This theater seats a little over a thousand people. They sat in the fifth row from the stage. The price of this ticket was $45.The price for a ticket at the Sharon for Amy Grant in the fifth row is $125.This brings up the obvious question-why so much more here?

Sez here that the Stambaugh Concert Hall seats 2250 people.

Stambaugh Auditorium Reservations and Rental Hall Information

I don't know the answer. Amy's cost divided by 1000 (The Sharon)plus profit compared to Amy's cost divided by 2250 (The Stambaugh) plus profit?

I just checked on Stubhub.com and Amy's ticket prices are all over the place anywhere from $57 all the way up to $350. I guess it varies.

I guess I was given wrong information on the seating capacity Gracie-forgive me-that may explain the price difference-The AAA auto club ran a bus trip to Lakeland to see the Million Dollar Quartet-The price of trip $100 included the concert ticket, the bus trip, and dinner. The top price for just the show at the Sharon is $100.I'm just pointing this out and making no judgements-Don't shoot the messenger.

The events are sell outs. If you think ticket prices are too high then don't go. But remember the Sharon was built by private funds. No tax dollars used, no special assessments pushed on you. The developer put his money at risk and I feel he deserves to get a reasonable return for the cost of the building plus an operating profit.

Actually, by going to the Stambaugh Concert Hall link provided by Gracie, it states the hall capacity is 2,553. So essentially Stambaugh Hall is 2-1/2 times bigger than the Sharon.

When "the evil, white, RICH developer" is being accused of "greed", no facts, such as these quoted, are going to hinder the whining "victims" who seemingly bought their home here at gunpoint.

I corrected my original post of being wrong on the seating capacity of Stambaugh Auditorium.I never said anything about the "evil white Rich developer.I'm not a whining victim.I love it here and if I see something I want I buy it. I had my fact wrong and apologized and admitted it John W and Sunnyatlast.

This was my first and only post on this thread. I was only correcting Gracie's figure of 2,250 when it should of read 2,553.
