Not necessarily. It could be the pump, a solenoid or timer control. Why not call Rick Beck 352-245-3598. Great guy, honest and a great mechanic.

We go to Utube first to check out the problem to see if it is something that we can fix. The wheel on the top rack broke off after three years on our KitchenAid dishwasher. Hubby looked on Utube and saw how it was repaired, and we ordered a part online. Two weeks ago, the wheel on the right side broke, so we just ordered the part which are now made of metal. I guess KitchenAid figured out thaat they had a design flaw.
Also, if you Google your brand appliance there should be a message board of customers with issues and they usual post what the issues are with the appliance are and how they resolved the problem.

Of course this might be too difficult to be a DYI. Good luck to you!

I just had the same issue. Went to google. If you have a disposial, fill the sink with water, turn on disposial. That cleared up my issue.

We have had awesome luck with Kiley Plumbing. They are quick to respond and do excellent work. They have put in taller toilets, re plumbed under all the sinks (got rid of those sketchy push pull things they install here in the Villages) and had a whole house water filter system put in. They stand behind all their work and have been here a long time.
