I would like to go on record as saying that in my lifetime, which is approaching 76 years, I have NEVER called the power company asking why the power is out.

I believe deeply that they are working as hard as they can to restore it.

But if it will make any of you feel any better I will call.

It's worth calling just so they know to bring you cold beer and a warm meal.

I am sorry about not thinking about that possibility.

. I hope that it comes back on quickly. Will the EMS help you in this situation?

Whenever you lose power it is always a good idea to contact the utility company. This can often help them in determining the area of interruption. Also there is always the possibility that your outage is the result of a problem separate from the area outage. All things I learned after working for an electric company for many years.

Hope the power is back soon!

GG: do you push an elevator button more than once? Do you push it when it's lit when you walk up? I do. Over snd over and over until it gets there.

I would think that their computers would show who had lost power. I have always thought that calling the power company was because of lack of patience on the part of people...... After ascertaining that it wasn't just our house of course.

Another way we all differ in how we react to situations.

Since it isn't terribly cold and a little less hot, the power being off wouldn't be an emergency for most, but an annoying inconvenience that thankfully doesn't happen often here because of buried lines.

always call when the power goes out. The power company can ascertain how large the outage is.

You would think they would know. Silly me. They know when it's on and can send you a bill.
