Talking to yourself again?
You are a perfect example of the term going off "half cocked." Medicare sucks! The poor get better treatment, and more treatment through Medicaid. And since you know nothing of Medicare details, you are only hot air. And don't ask me to provide the information for you that you should have had before sounding off. |

Why do you say I know nothing of Medicare details? My health insurance plus Medicare is all I need. You obviously can afford health insurance to cover any gaps. Medicaid is for the poor and even if they do seem to get better care at no cost - would you want to be poor enough to qualify for Medicare? I wouldn't. I have a friend who is 70 percent rated disabled for a hearing loss. He is practically stone deaf. He collects a sizable tax free disability check from the VA. Another friend told him that he was so lucky to get all that money each month. My friend told him he would be so happy to,trade places anytime just so he could hear again. Do not envy the Medicaid. We live a much better life - no matter who is President. Just rejoice that we have so many blessings and I feel blessed to be able to give some back either on a voluntary or involuntary way. Okay, sorry for the soapbox speech. I expect many negative replies for this but that is how I feel. |

Do not believe once the debate heat up that Carson will be in the running but never say never.
Medicare will not be touched. Every state that has expanded its Medicaid program, including John Kaisch's Ohio is in deep financial trouble. Say what you will about Governor Scott but he fought the Medicaid expansion and the state of Florida is better for it |

I would replace Medicare with something else, too. Medicare is a disgrace. I would say that the majority of Americans do not know much about Medicare.
Briefly, you pay for Medicare all your working life through payroll taxes. Once you reach 65 you can use Medicare A and have the option of signing up for Medicare B,C and/or D. If you decline Medicare B, you receive hardly any benefit from Medicare A other than hospitalization. No prescriptions, no doctor visits, etc. You have to sign up for Medicare B at about $105 a month (each) or pay for a supplement plan. If you have any other insurance, that insurance forces Medicare to pay first and then they will pay the excess not paid for, IF they cover that service. So basically, you pay all your working life for Medicare A which provides only hospitalization. After age 65, you will likely need a heck of a lot more than just hospitalization. Yes, I do have a very good private insurance plan and don't need Medicare. I hope I can keep my insurance, even though the premiums have gone way up since Obama and the benefits have been reduced. Obama stole almost three quarters of a trillion bucks from Medicare for Obamacare. I am interested in knowing where all that extra Medicare money came from that could easily be taken from an ailing gov plan. In my opinion, not having studied the Medicare details, the insurance companies that we pay monthly premiums for, could take up the slack by paying first and then medicare could supplement what it does provide. In other words, for those of us that are paying full premiums for insurance, our insurance would continue to provide full service and medicare could focus on those that don't have a private insurance plan. Just seems like it would save more money that could be used in the system for those that don't have insurance. Like I said, I don't know the details of how these things work, but I do know that the gov messes up anything they get involved in and this is just one of them. Look at all the money that gets collected from you for over 35 years to go into Medicare. If the president thinks that we have so much extra that it can be taken and used for those that don't pay into a system, then why does medicare provide so little service for those that are retired? If Carson has a plan to get rid of Medicare in favor of something better, then I am willing to listen. Unlike the liberals that believe ONLY they have the answers. They claim to be progressive but want to live in yesteryear with old fashioned socialist gov controlled services for everyone including illegal aliens. |

is alive and well. You have a standing president that's rewritten how gov't is supposed to work and by his own admission is illegal and this is your response? Sadly pathetic.

Natch! He is to blame for everything. For once, I'd love to see Republicans take a little responsibility.

For the last almost 8 years, the Republicans have been shut out, shut down, mocked, jeered, worked around, ignored, called names publicly by the WH no less, so not sure what responsibility you want them to take. |

They will step up to the bar and proudly take responsibility for stopping the nose diving of the USA when they take over the WH in 2017.
They will take responsibility for not appologizing for returning back to world class leadership. They will take responsibilty for returning the military to it's prior position of respect and fear. They will return the enforcement and protection of the constitution. They will return the progress of races back in the positive direction. Just to name a few. |
