I don't know about anybody else but the so called....by the way self serving....outcry in hollywood about the whiteness of the academy awards in little more than another race card being played.

Why is there never any discussion about ....well maybe there were no blacks deserving?
Who said the talent had to be diversified for "fair" representation?
Who said the results are not right just because there are mostly white memebers in the academy....you know the same number there has been for years.

I for one am sick of these folks looking for treatment of some sort just because they are one color or another.

I believe every citizen of the United States has the right to free speech and the right to peacefully protest. There have been 2 straight majority white Oscars, some people want to protest this fact. They have that right.

Where is Al Jolson when you need him? If whites still played blacks, then you would have racism at its worse. All kidding aside, were there any black actors deserving a consideration for an Oscar? I don't go to the movies, so I have no idea. Of the main awards, best actor/actress, and best supporting actor/actress, could any of the parts been played by a blacks?

Rather than racism, isn't this more a product of the movies people like? You go to movies to be entertained. The last thing that you should have to be concerned about is the color of an actor's skin.

Does no one but me find it really funny and ironic that rich black millionaire actors are complaining about not having Affirmative Action in their awards? The awards are not voted on or given out by us. They pat each other on the backs for these awards. Would anyone lose anything if they did away with them....other than the dress designers?

They just made a movie about the Benghazi raid. If blacks want to get someone nominated for an Oscar, it is very easy. Just have Spike Lee write, produce, and direct a movie about the Charlestown church shooting.
