Is it acceptable to park on the grass along side the house driveway? I have only been in TV a short time, so I have not seen this until recently. If this is not acceptable, who Is responsible to take corrective action?

A friend of mine was cited for letting his son park on the lawn. He had to park in the driveway. Now he parks in the street.

When i lived in Cape Coral during droughts, we had to park on our lawns to wash our cars. There were no rules against parking there at other time. I agree it looks awful, i think it is redneck / cracker thing.

Regular parking on soft surface like grass will start showing wear very quickly.

Very tacky at best, hope it is against the rules, but I do not recall any specific rules against it. I agree with previous call community standards.

The restrictive covenants for our property clearly state that vehicles are to be parked within the "confines of the driveway". This is typical for what I have seen/read for other homes that I have owned in other areas of the country. In fact, some of the restrictions I have read specifically required the parking areas to be paved in lieu of just being sand/gravel/grass. Not saying that this is the case for all homes in TV but I doubt that the developers would have left this issue to the discretion of each individual homeowner.

Parking automobiles on lawns on a regular basis is a very multi cultural trashy thing to do. Obviously any homeowner doing this takes no pride in his home's appearance nor does he care of what the neighbors may feel about it.

Hahaha! We did that too, but we never left it on there. My husband always pulled it on there to wash it, and then moved it off.

Especially if you keep it on blocks.

Of course I wash my vehicles on the grass. Why waste the water. I never leave them there, but I sure wash them there. Saves my rolling up more hose. Lol
