Default Safety on the Dance Floor at Lake Sumter

We understand that the wind may blow leaves on the dance floor at Lake Sumter
after the landscaping contractors have departed for the day. The leaves on the dance floor do seem to pose a safety and liabilty issue for dancers and The Vilages.

Any constructive sugggestions as to help with this concern? Thanks.

watch your step. bring your leaf blower. how constructive can one be without dedicating resources to blow the leaves...plant plastic trees.

I can only think of 3 Constructive ideas to solve the problem:

1) Don't Dance

2) Wrap yourself in bubble wrap before leaving home (just be sure to cut a little hole out to breath through.

3) Stay home and watch the dancing from the Web Cam (this option is the safest)

I was dancing at LSL a couple of weeks ago and didn't notice any leaves. Perhaps a recent issue?
It's hard to imagine that leaves could pose a safety and liability issue

So funny but practical for complainers.

I am trying to feel compassion for this problem.

Thank you all for your comments. Last night was particularly bad and slippery as agreed by many of the participants AND by Community Watch personnel.

I just read all of the OP's posts and he appears to be a very reasonable person.

O.P.... We don't have much leaf fall around here but I think this is the time the oaks may lose their leaves. I am an AVID reader on this forum much to the aggravation of many and I don't recall anyone ever falling because of the leaves being slippery...at least not mentioning it here and here is where a lot of problems end up.

Be very careful OP. I mean that sincerely. Sorry for my glib remark.

Maybe if there are leaves on the dance floor.............don't dance.

Did Community Watch suggest a solution?

I know a person who fell last night and he admittedly had too much to drink.

Perhaps we could hire students from the charter school to run around and pick up leaves and make a few extra bucks. Or perhaps there is a leaf decoupage club in The Villages that would welcome the opportunity for free supplies.
