Default FOUR people in a TWO person cart

Sitting out on my lanai backing up to St. Charles, I just saw a 2 person cart go by with two adults and two 10-15 y/o kids sitting in that ONE seat. What has happened to people's minds? Are some adults really that stupid? Kids mimic what they see adults doing and they think it's ok.

That's totally beyond words as far as common sense goes. Not fully utilizing the golf bag rack and straps for the 15 year old is a waste of resources. LOL.

Some are in their first childhood but others may be in their second childhood.

Frankly I could not help but laugh when I read your post because I pictured a pair of 300 pound seniors hanging over the sides while squeezing the life out of two skinny kids between them.

Actually it was foolhardy so say the least.

I've seen that a lot when grandchildren are here. Not a good idea.

Maybe a good business would be to sell small trailers like UPS uses during the Christmas season. The could be used to tow dogs, small children and, on occasion, your spouse around. LOL....

I have see 2 men recently driving alone with s large dog on a platform mounted on the back of the ****. Both dogs were unsteady. Someday one of them will fall off in front of a car.

People like that should be on the "No Cart" List.

Got that one beat. Was coming home from Sumter Landing the other morning. There was a 4 seater GC in front of me with 4 women in there were a total of 4 babies and one slightly older child sitting on their laps going to the playground across from Sonny's. Little nuts if you ask me.

I know older age, to some, brings on mental problems but what I've been witnessing as of late, with people in both vehicles and carts, borders on plain stupidity. What has happened to common sense?

100% agree with you. Unfortunately people don't believe something will happen to them until it does.

Actually, someone has already implemented your suggestion! One could purchase a towable "buggy" for your golf cart. We have looked at the two options offered by Carts and Clubs. Of course other options include a conversion kit offered by the Villages Golf store to change a 2 seater to a 4 seater, or just rent a cart. Not to state the obvious, but if they have a car...........

Here's a picture I took when I lived in Manila. It's not all that uncommon to see sites like this over there.

I think that SOME have always had a lack of good judgment.

I absolutely prefer common sense over a genius I.Q. But common sense is possibly obtained by being raised by good parents or engaging in a lot of stupid activity and learning from mistakes or by being a very good observer.

I think much of what we are is in the cards when we are born, including mental problems brought on by age. It is what it is.

We know, if we have lived here for awhile that golf cart accidents can be deadly, but these folks may not be aware of it and think it is fun and safe to ride like that in a vehicle not going over twenty or so miles an hour.
