Number10 Only in America could politicians talk about the greed of the rich at a $35,000.00 per plate Obama campaign fund-raising event.

Number 9 Only in America ...could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics!

Number 8 Only in America...could they have had the two people most responsible for their tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes.

Number 7 Only in America...can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash.

Number 6 Only in America...would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens (probably should be number one).

Number 5 Only in America....could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as EXTREMIST'S.

Number 4 Only in America...could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote.

Number 3 Only in America...could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company(Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike).

Number 2 Only in America... could you collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year - for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money .

And Number 1 Only in America...could the rich people - who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all.

That could work when the population was 33,000 or 330,000...not with 330,000,000!

We have "inequality" because the the people are "unequal". The "minorities" just aren't up to snuff. Trying to incorporate them into society has destroyed a once great nation. We've lowered everything so much, we're now in the middle, not top of world rankings. When you encourage the dregs, you don't end up on top. It's "our" own fault, we believed the lie of equality.

That's the problem, minorities and women ARE handicapped when compared to the average able bodied white man. That's WHY they need all the special programs and treatment. It's not racism or sexism, it's the plain fact that an able bodied white man makes a better student, worker, pretty much anything...and THAT is why they were chosen over a woman or minority.

With women, it's their weaker strength, unwillingness "to get dirty", ineptness with things mechanical, and a myriad of other things that make them unfit for many positions and skills. Minorities, well, genetic differences go deeper than skin color.

Socialism IS for the handicapped...you're absolutely correct. White men made the "Western Civilization" and the technology we enjoy. It's a fact. Women and minorities were minor contributors, not because they "weren't allowed", but because they weren't as good. Now that THEY are being promoted and the white men held back, where IS the world headed? Look at the US and it's rankings, many have fallen dramatically. It's because we changed. From white male based/oriented/promoted, to woman and minority based/oriented/promoted. We stopped growing when we went to affirmative action and quotas in everything we do. We aren't all equal, not by a long shot.

Sometimes I try to understand your right wing train of thought but it defies logic.

You rail against socialism but enroll in Medicare and Social Security. Without these 2 programs many Americans would not be able to retire.

You accuse the "libtards" of need the gov nanny and yet fail to understand the amount of welfare we give to corporations.

Pensions: For CEOs Only

This happened to me when my company was taken over by Danaher Corporation. Pension plan frozen and Retiree Healthcare gutted. Those are thing we worked at a lower rate of pay for years because we were told we could count on those things.

Fortunately I filled my 401K to max ..... I am ok but others not so much.

Perhaps someday you will begin to understand Corporations are NOT people and they do NOT care about their employees.

Are you kidding? You are, right? You don't ENROLL in SS and Medicare, they forcibly take it out of each pay check, whether you want it or not. Just because some are dependent on it, does not make it good. Some folks are addicted/dependent on drugs too. Does that make drugs good?

If not for corporations, there would be NO middle class. I have been to many countries, and lived overseas more than I have lived here in the U.S. In socialist countries, there really isn't any middle class in comparison to ours. They have an elite upper class and a giant lower class. Our lower class folks live as well as their supposed middle class.
