Just do a search for house management companies for The Villages, you'll find plenty. Go to their websites and you'll get a feel for what you need.

When we first moved here we rented a house from Tom Jones at JD&V Property Management (villagesforrent.com). He was very personable, helpful and prompt at returning our calls and emails. I have no idea what they charge, but we had a very good experience with him. Might be worth giving him a call.

It's easy to do it yourself we use the villagers4rent website. Have had our home rented since the day I put it on the market year-round. We used to companies to rent her house in the first year fired them both when we came in unexpectedly and didn't tell them found lots of issues. That's why we did it ourselves I can pick and choose Who lived in our house.

I have used 3 or 4 property management companies over the years and they all have been terrible. The only time they rented the property is during Jan, Feb, March....when it is easy to rent it yourself. In my experience, they are more concerned in collecting their commission and doing nothing for it. One property manager gave back a damage deposit without doing a walk through and when I arrived back in the Villages, I discovered the tenant had done considerable damage to the house and it cost me several thousands of dollars to replace my new carpeting, paint walls and replace some things they had either taken or broken. Never again. You can easily rent it through talkofthevillages.com or villagers4rent.com. Also, I don't think most of the property managers do a credit check or follow up on references, so there is no advantage there....and they don't check the house when it is vacant. You need to hire a property watch person separately.

Before I purchased, i used VIR Rentals. I was pleased with their service as a renter, don't know how they treat the owner though.
