Default Mira Mesa Exec Course

Played it for the first time yesterday. Overall, not in bad shape. A few completely dead spots on most of the greens. One on #9 them cost me a bogey. I missed the green a bit long and to the right of the green. I hit what I thought was a perfect pitch shot and it hit one of those dead spots and kicked left. Instead of a tap in, I had a twelve footer for par which I lipped out.

There's a very large area to the back right of the number two green that has been top dressed with the same seed mix that we have in our bottles. I don't see where that's going to help, but then again, I'm not a superintendent.

Tees are decent. They evidently added a few new back tees because there was no yardage from the back on the scorecard or the tee signs.

The fairways on the two par fours are a bit thin and look like they were aerified recently. They look like with a bit more growth they'll be fine.

The areas around the green were, for the most part, in good shape. Again, a few spots where there is no grass at all. Mostly near the cart paths and where people have been walking off the green. Probably just the normal condition of the course.

The biggest problem I had was there were two guys in front of me and one was giving golf lessons to the other. The guy receiving the lessons obviously had no idea what he was doing. The guy giving me the lessons actually invited me to play through. When I accepted he took of in his cart and they continued to play. They left the course after a few holes so it wasn't too bad.

One thing that I notice about a lot of playerss that when the reach the green, they leave their cart toward the front of the green. It would be helpful if people would learn to drive their cart or leave their pull cart or bag to the back of the green closest to the next tee. When you finish play, get in your cart and get of the way. Put you clubs away on the next tee when you are getting your club out for the next hole. You should also write down your score on the next tee.

Based on your past posts, all I can say is 'good to hear you are playing again'!

Default Hi dr boogie

You are so polite as usual, I have to agree with you about leaving cart or pull cart while finishing hole. Hopefully they will figure it out eventually.

I'm not sure what you'd call what I'm doing "playing golf". It's more like learning that my body no longer functions.
