I would have posted this to the original thread but it was closed by someone very quickly.

Janet Tutt explained at today’s Welcome Wednesday session that Florida CDDs are prohibited from using License Plate Recognition software. The software implemented will only be used by law enforcement and used as a faster means to search for the bad guys.

The gates are there primarily for traffic control and the software will not be used to open the gates. They want us to stop and then go through the gate once the gate arm is in the up position.
