PHILADELPHIA — Not only have more individual illegal aliens crossed the U.S.-Mexico border, but this year has seen a massive surge in "family units" unlawfully entering the country, a number on a pace to double last year's 39,838, according to U.S. Customs and Border Patrol figures.

The agency reported that 51,152 family units have crossed into the U.S., and there are still three months left in the fiscal year.

The numbers back of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's claim during his acceptance speech in Cleveland last week, despite mocking from open-border Democrats here and in the media that they his claims were exaggerated.

There was a bipartisan bill that passed the Senate, before Republicans gained the majority. The bill had a fence, and a path to citizenship for illegals here. it was never passed by the House, who wouldn't even bring it up for a vote. They took a hard line. They wanted the fence to be built first. Only a moron would think that there would ever be second step to the illegal problem other than deport them all. If the Republicans want their fence, they will have to compromise on deporting all illegals. The Democrats will have the same power to stop a fence, as the Republicans did in stopping the bipartisan Senate bill. This time the fence will die in the Senate.

The best solution is to put volunteer snipers along the border and have them "repel' the "invaders." I bet there would be no shortage of volunteers. Perhaps the USO could provide coffee and donuts, and the Red Cross would supply some sandwiches. If it gets too crowded, we could always charge a fee for a license and put a limit on how many you can bag.

Do you feel better now? I don't take it personal.

So, now that we have that out of the way, lets talk about the wall/fence around the White House. They plan to raise it to 11 feet. Now, is that to keep people out that can come in free anyway, or is it to keep the animals residing there inside? .. And they DON'T want a fence or wall on the border to keep criminals out. Go figure.

Left wing protesters. Their own people. Like the old saying goes, you just can't make this kind of thing up.

The problem is 1/3 the population, over 100 million, are either immigrants themselves or their anchor babies. We've been overrun, we've been bred out. A wall is WAY too late.
