"If the goal is to talk about only evangelicals that are white, then the polls are fine. But if you want to talk about the voter in the typical evangelical church, then the polls probably inflate the actual Trump support by 15 to 20 points."

When I think of polls, I am reminded that these are phone calls to people that may or may not even show up to vote. Hillary is getting maybe a hundred or two to show up for her rallies. Trump gets thousands. Wonder who will show up to vote in Nov. Do you really think that blacks are going to come out to support Hillary like they did Obama? That was a freak occurrence based on his color, not his party. The real polls are the EXIT polls.

First, and I am not twisting this in any way..just being up front.

Crowds at rallies mean nothing at all. That you have to understand, especially this year with an entertainer speaking and avoiding the hum drum of actually talking issues. You are not swaying anyone...you are entertains them.

Second, in our country, the election is decided by the electoral college. It is at this time a bit skewed toward Democrats, and whomever would be the GOP candidate would need to overcome that. Trump will have a difficult job overcoming that.

Thirdly, Democrats have the "ground game". Trump has hardly any and shows no interest in that. That ground game gets out the vote for one thing.

Lastly, Clinton is speaking to smaller groups but discussing issues. That sways votes. You don't see them covered much but that is how votes are swayed.

He is swaying voters, the poll numbers tightening after his rallies, show that when on message.
People are listening. He's not entertaining he is telling folks what it will try and do.

By that you make it sound like a republican never won an election.

Difficult, normally, but this is Trump so it's possible.

Since Hillery is so corrupt and the dripping of more negative issues arise ever few days it makes it probable that he will be very competitive.

Agree, but look at the number of rallies he's done just this month compared to HRC

Each one getting media coverage worth millions of dollars

Her speeches average 10-15 minutes, so the number at a rally for Trump doesn't sway votes but the few in attendance at hers and she swaying people.

you just contradicted yourself?

That's the best excuse I have read this year. By the way, where do you think electoral votes come from? You make it sound as if it doesn't matter if the voters turn out and vote, that the electoral vote might be different than the popular vote. It is still dependent on the popular vote for a sector/state. If Florida has a popular vote majority for a Republican, the electoral vote does not go for the Democrat, contrary to what some seem to think.

Do you remember that during the primaries, there was a 20% reduction in Democrat voter turnout? Do you also remember that during the primaries that the Republican turnout had a record turnout, an increase of something like 50-60%? Are you still going to rely solely on polls taken by phone calls?

Do you really think that Hillary will garner a black voter turnout anywhere as large as Obama did? Be honest.

Do you REALLY think that any of these establishment Republicans will vote for Hillary? No way. They will still hold their noses and vote for Trump.

I think it is gong to blow your mind when Trump wins by a landslide.

yes dumb ass move by Trump with the Pope,

When talking about Catholics, though, Trump is basically adding 5 to 7 percentage points to Clinton’s overall margin. If 25 percent of the electorate is Catholic, Clinton is currently taking 14 to 15 points worth of that chunk, while Trump is taking 8 or 8.5 points.

So she should about 8 points of their vote over Trump.

But if more corruption is disclosed before the election that can change
