Last Jan was too nippy for most people to use the pools. They are certainly open, but you may wish to re-think that once Jan rolls around.

I believe the neighborhood pools are heated to 83, but in most cases you'll have the pool to yourself in January. If you come across one that is packed more than you like, you can go to another village pool or a rec center family pool. For example my Village of Tamarind Grove neighborhood pool is a 20 minute walk away. However the Village of St. James neighborhood pool and the Sterling Heights Rec Ctr family pool are both a ten minute walk away. As you can see, depending upon your location you can have many choices, counting all the villages and sub-villages we have about 78 villages plus add all the neighborhood rec centers and regional rec center pools.

Sometimes we organize hockey games on the pools.
