Default Best Place for Antiques

I need some help on this one. One of my brothers and his wife is coming to visit in January. They both love antiques. I do not. Can any one give me some suggestions about places where I might bring them to see some quality antiques? Thanks in advance.

Renninger's. Not sure where its located, look in the newspaper. It can be a whole day event, some very good quality antique items. You probably can google it but if you need more information, PM me. I love antiques also.

Yes, Renninger's just outside of Mount Dora. It's a nice day trip there, with lunch in Mount Dora.

If you want to stay closer to home, there is a large antiques shop in Wildwood, at 44 and 301, on the east side of 301. We went there once, and never got through the whole store, lots to see. NOTE, entrance is off 44 westbound, just before 301. There might be another entrance off 301, I just have not found it yet.

The antiques shop in Wildwood is called Traditions Antique Mall.
If you go to Renninger's in Mt. Dora be aware there are two sections. One is a flea market. The other is the antiques. The two are VERY different. Also, be sure to check Renninger's website for special events that may be going on.

You're in luck, in Wildwood there are two large indoor antique markets. The one that Villagetinker mentioned, on 44 go through the light at 301 and it's on your immediate left at the bottom of the overpass. If you pass the Russell Candy Outlet you've got too far.

Traditions Antique Mall

The other is in the shopping center that has the ACE Hardward and US Post Office. On 44 at the 301 red light turn right, a Sunoco station is on your right. Go about 1/2 mile and a big shopping center sits back on the right, the antique store is next to the Sav-A-Lot Grocery Store. It's slightly smaller than the 44 store, but has the same similar items.

Renninger's in Mount Dora, Florida is known all over. It's huge indoor and outdoor. Go through Fruitland Park and get on 441/27 and stay on 441 for about 20 miles and it will be on your left side. Probably takes 45 minutes to get there.

As with everything else, there are antiques and then there are antiques! If they like auctions. the best and closest to our area is !antique Auction Calendar - Burchard Galleries. Burchard Galleries deal in very high end antiques and are known world wide for their quality. When we were in business this is where we bought. If, however, they like to browse and hunt through "stuff" then Rennigers is a really fun day out. I would also suggest Mt. Dora, some decent shops and a really pretty town.

You can also google antiques in Central Florida and you will find several places around here and Orlando.
