Default Trumps Private Dinner Causes "Backlash" from Ditched Reporters

We have all learned how (literally) corrupt the press is, but I must say I had not fully realized how plain stupid and out of touch some of them can be. However, it is not all bad --at least they provide us amusement albeit unintentional.

Trump's dinner dash sparks backlash from ditched reporters | TheHill

The press got their panties into a major moralistic wad because Trump took his family out for a private dinner but "failed" to tell them!! Why would Trump want to the press there so they could come along and ruin it by their obnoxious presence shouting questions, trying to trap him on some nit, and the usual things they do to make themselves look boorish???.

A CNN guy later said Trump supports would likely still probably cheer him anyway. No kidding!

These 'ditched reporters' are part of the protective press corps. They have been assigned to every president and presidential candidate since JFK was shot in 1963. They are not there to ask questions.
They are only there for national security in case the president or president-elect gets shot or meets other harm.

If Trump had gotten shot and killed last night on his way to dinner, there would be no record of it. Someone needs to explain this to Trump

Thanks for the explanation. I understand the desire to be left alone, but that isn't how it is for him now. And definitely won't be during his Presidential term.

This is stupid on many levels...must have been a liberal's idea!

How is the reporter being there when, or if, the president gets shot serve national security? Do they keep him alive by interviewing him? Do they keep the rest of the nation safe by interviewing the shooter?

There would be no record of a president being shot if the reporter was not present at the time of the shooting?? How did everyone know JFK had been shot, seeing how this stupid press corp was not invented yet??

Again, this is STUPID $hit we waste money on as a government.

It won't last long, because if we don't know anything else about him...we do know that Trump is a publicity whore.

I think the real question is how long will it be... before he resumes his Tweet meltdowns.

I give him another week...at the most.
