Thumbs up Traditions Cafe - Wildwood

A new restaurant opened up for dinner in Wildwood just last night - Traditions Cafe. It is above the antique consignment shop on Hwy 44. We had a wonderful Italian dinner - with a FREE glass of wine because they do not have their liquor license yet and cannot sell any libations at this time. My husband had the lobster ravioli - it came cooked al dente with yummy pink lobster filling and a creamy lobster sauce. I had the lasagna and it honestly was some of the best we have had out. The seasoning was perfect. We certainly would like to recommend this new restaurant to all who enjoy Italian food. The proprietors Helen and Rudolfo were charming. They are only open for dinner Thur - Sat right now but do plan to add more evenings in the future. Please give them a try - you will not be disappointed! We are already planning our next visit.

Is there an elevator if it is on the second floor?

The consignment shop was closed when we arrived for dinner so there might be one in there, but you had a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Not the easiest with bad knees.....you really get spoiled living in TV with everything on the first floor.....

You might want to try Cafe Attuare in Mt Dora - one of our favorites. There are so many Italian restaurants and they are all just a little different with seasonings and all. And everyone has different tastes. Cafe Attuare is just a little different than the rest, and Paulette the owner is a real hoot! They make their own pasta, sauce, and salad dressings. It is also nice to walk around Mt Dora and window shop. We also like Giovanni's and Little Joey's.

We tried Traditions Café tonight. It's in Wildwood, go to 301 South to 44 West, about 1/2 mile on the left above the consignment store. I will go back. I had the Lobster Ravioli, Susi had the Seafood Cannelloni. Mine was good, hers was great. Saw someone have the Lasagna, looked wonderful. We had the Tiramisu for dessert. Not served the traditional way but was outstanding. Wine and beer list needs work, but they just got their license so will give them some time to fix that. Owners were great, we will definitely go back. Phone number is 352-748-0133

Thumbs up

. We tried Tradition's Cafe last night (10/31) and it was excellent!! My husband had the special, which was Shrimp/Tilapia atop Angel Hair Pasta and smothered in a luscious Lobster Sauce. I had the Meat Lasagna, both were outstanding. You must give it a chance. Spread the word, as this will become one of our favorites and we plan to eat there regularly. At least give it a try, you won't be disappointed. As a side note, we do not know the owners, although met them last night and they are very friendly and accomodating. Our Waitress Jackie, was very helpful and attentive, we have no connection with this great new "Tradition". One of the owners told us to watch for their ad (in the "dining out" section) this week in the Daily Sun as they will have a special in there for a free bottle of wine with dinner, for a party of 4.

Default Directions to Traditions Cafe

Do you turn left or right onto 44 when you reach Wildwood on 301?

If you are going South on 301, toward the Florida turnpike, you would turn right on 44. The Traditions Cafe is located about 1/2 mile on the left. It is on the second floor of the Traditions antique shop. Decent food, nice people, needs a better wine list.
