I wonder if it's as simple as perhaps there are more male contestants than female. I don't know, just guessing (like my usual Jeopardy answers).

There ARE more male contestants. Someone suggested men would risk more in final Jeopardy. I never thought about it.

I am not a militant woman, rather a confident one who enjoys the company of both sexes. I know that there ARE gender differences in ways we learn, what we learn and things we are interested in.

It's because their fingers are fatter and they can push the buzzer button better.

It's because they don't have a woman telling them what to do?

That was interesting. I have no problem with men being smarter in many ways. I know they aren't in all ways. We each have our strengths and weaknesses and I think both genders are meant to compliment and support each other. I like both genders who aren't afraid of work, getting dirty, getting things done that need to get done. And I love to figure out how things work. Sometimes men have an inclination to "muscle" something instead of think why it isn't working. Just my view.

Although the IQs of men and women average about the same. The tails of the Bell Curve for men extend out further in both directions for men than they do for women.

"The Bell Curve" by Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray is an excellent comprehensive resource for data on intelligence.

It is interesting to me that intelligence tests are looked down on anymore. People are always giving excuses why some don't learn as well as others. I think it helps to know your I.Q.

I am very familiar with the Wechsler and the Whoopsie and the Stanford-Binet.

I do know that we are not all equal in ability but we are all valuable.

The Stanford-Binet is an established and valuable test. Stanford–Binet Intelligence Scales - Wikipedia

It's because women blink more often than men.
