Default How much does a cruise cost?

Cruise experts. Can someone please tell me how much a 7 day cruise to the caribbean for 2 people will actually cost? I mean the total cost, including everything. The cruise, taxes, tips, drinks, transportation, and everything else I need to pay for. How much money will I need to spend from the time I leave my house in The Villages until I get back home a week or so later. And, I want a nice cabin with a balcony. Thanks.

I've been on about 10 cruises and there's no way to really answer your question. The total cost depends on a number of things.
Such as:::

Which cruise line?
Type of cabin you choose?
Are you and yours going to consume adult beverages?
Will you take any shore excursions?
Etc, Etc..

LOL I think you need a travel agent.

PS I'd like to take a trip for two to Europe, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Prague with a side trip down the Danube. Could you calculate my total cost including airfare, transfers, meals, tips and transport from my home? Thanks.

PS We drink premium liquors sometimes 10 each per day, please throw that into your calculations.

I want a mid price cabin with balcony, don't care what cruise line, yes to adult beverages, and no to excursions.

I suggest you talk to a travel agent and/or start researching via the internet. Prices can vary considerably based on the cruise line, time of year, and itinerary. All of the cruise lines have webpages with their prices. You can also go to sites such as Expedia.

If you are looking for a budget cruise Carnival is good for that. Also some of the 3 or 4 day Royal Carribean. A travel agent would be able to do what you ask. A good website to visit is Cruise Reviews, Cruise Deals and Cruises - Cruise Critic You can read about each ship to get an idea of what type cruise you would like.

Smile Add Ons

First the advertised price then add on Port Fees, Taxes and Insurance. Then travel to from the port, airfare if required, side trips, some shopping, tips, drinks if you use liquor. You can start with these as a basis for calculation. An example on what a cruise can cost: Trip from The Villages to Tahiti through Los Angles in a mini suits for 2 with no Liquor and some side trips and tips costs between $17,000-20,000 for 28 days.. In a reqular cabin with balcony for a round trip to Europe on a Transtlantic would be between $5,000-8,000. Forget what they advertise the trips as..these are actual out of pocket costs.

A cabin with a balcony would be a much higher price. Your only in your cabin to sleep on a cruise.

In my opinion, there is nothing more relaxing than being able to look (or sit) on your balcony overlooking the ocean. Whether your underway or in port. For new cruisers (those that have never been in an inside cabin), there is a BIG difference between having a window, or a balcony. Granted you probably won't spend much time in your cabin, other than sleeping, you should really see if your budget allows a balcony.

I 100% agree about the balcony. We only take rooms with balconies. They are wonderful for days at sea and acocktail at night.
