I am considering a master bath remodel and prefer to leave the original construction existing ceramic tile floor. I have a designer Wisteria in Hemingway built around 2007. Guessing on year built.

My question, when The Villages built my home did they install the flooring wall to wall, and then place the vanity? My fear is I remove the original vanity cabinet and find bare concrete floor. We would like to replace this vanity with a stand alone cabinet type that leaves flooring underneath exposed.

Home warranty may be able to answer your question. 352-753-6222. I believe they will want to know your unit and/or lot number. My uneducated guess is no flooring under the cabinet. Good Luck.

Took a look at our house (gardenia 2013) construction photos, and the tile was laid wall to wall. You may be able to check your house, if you carefully pry the narrow molding at the base of the cabinet, you will either see the edge of the tile, or you will see the tile go under the cabinet.

If your vanity has a set of drawers, take out the bottom one and look underneath. Drawer units tend not to have a bottom.

OP, the photos I have were not detailed enough to determine if the floor under the cabinets was finished the same as the rest of the flooring and if the holes were nicely finished. My suggestion, Call home warranty, get the name of the tile, the grout, and the installer. Call the installer, and see if the tile is still available, if so, order enough tile to repair or replace the tile under the cabinet (just in case). I know a tile installer with almost 2 decades of experience that can do a small job like this. I like the idea of looking with the drawers out, did not think of that one.
