Default Moving Within The Villages

Did you move to another home located within The Villages after your first purchase? If so, why?

Thanks!

moved from a cottage to a designer home. I'm a seasonal resident and spent only 2 months a year in TV. When I began living 7 months in TV I needed more space.

We were slowly moving things in coming up from South Florida. When we were only partly moved, I decided that I did not want to live in that house, though nothing was wrong with the house, just the location. Neighbors thought that is wasn't far from Spanish Springs, but I wanted to be closer. Now I am 5 minutes from Publix, etc. Never regretted to decision! This was ten years ago. Luckily, I had a wonderful husband!

Went from 2 br to 3, 2 car garage, golf cart garage, inside laundry. Overall 1200 sf to 2600 sf. All is good now, Happy Wife = Happy Life.

Fortunately have not done it. But my observations are that storage (size of garage) and a larger home are driving forces.
I would figure out what you want to do with each room and not just decide that you want a smaller home because you are retired. Might need more room for some new hobbies.

Have thought about finding another home for some of the reasons you stated, but keep coming back to the fact that for us...location/location/location is still the most important factor.

Although others will obviously have different opinions and regardless of how big we get, LSL will always be the 'center' of The Villages to me.

Living near it and being handy to everything from Southern Trace to numerous championship courses...completely satisfies our reasons for moving here in the first place.

A number of neighbors originally bought north of 466 and moved here...as soon as LSL was being built.

I''m a FROG...fer sure.

PV for vaca home and for parents to use for winters.House #2 a 3 bedroom 2 car garage, cottage.

When one moved here full time we bought a Lilly with 2 car with golf cart garage.

But we are not attached to any of our homes here, so if a house comes up that we love house #4 could be in our future. Moving here is a breeze. We still have our up north home so most of our personal stuff is still there.

We moved from a two bedroom CYV to a three bedroom larger home with an extended garage.
But not a huge home because we're seasonal, and we spend most of our time in our birdcage.
We stayed in the Village of Belvedere, backing on the same golf course, because we find it very convenient.
Now we have a garage workshop for Fireboy. He's a garage guy.

We are still in our first. We chose a 4 bedroom home so that one of them could be consider the basement so we have a 2 bedroom home with a den and a basement. So far so good, great home, great neighbors, great area, no regrets.
